Hey, artists! Looking to showcase your creations in a space unlike anything else at WinterCon? Night Market is your chance to shine - literally.
Set in a dark, immersive zone away from the main floor, this is where art glows, merch glimmers and your setup becomes part of the vibe. Bring your own lights, create your own mood, and let your work stand out.
Whether you create UV-reactive prints, glowing jewelry, or just want to sell your work in a unique, moody setting - this is your place.
Before you dive into the details, here’s a quick look at the essentials to get you started.
Applications will close on December 7, 2025 at 23:59.
Confirmation emails will be sent by December 14, 2025.
Setup times - when you can prepare your table:
Friday, January 9th 2026, 17:00-20:00
Saturday, January 10th 2026, 8:30-11:00
All approved artists and their assistants don’t need to buy a ticket for the event.
Please note: Prepaid tickets are non-refundable.
Creating art is one thing. Showing it off in the dark - that’s a whole new vibe.
Night Market is not your typical row of tables - it’s a low-light, enclosed zone where you get to:
Showcase your art in a moody, spotlight-style setting with 70% ambient lighting
Stand out with glowing, UV-reactive, or illuminated merch
Join an experimental space with limited tables (just 6-14 spots!)
Engage with thousands of curious visitors
Gain visibility through WinterCon’s website and social media
All you need is your art, a bit of lighting - and a vision that deserves to be seen in a whole new light.
Applying is simple - here’s how it works:
1.
Fill out the application form before December 7, 2025.
Only applications submitted through this form will be considered.
2.
Include with your application:
A square logo or picture that represents you
Photos of your previous exhibition stands
Images of the goods or artworks you plan to bring
Any ideas for your table decoration
Links to your social media or online selling platforms
Think of this as your portfolio: the more heart you put into it, the better it shows who you are - to us now, and to visitors when WinterCon begins.
3.
Wait for confirmation. We’ll email selected artists by December 14, 2025.
Applications for Night Market will be confirmed after a short interview with the applicant. With only only 6 to 14 tables available, selection is based on quality, creativity, and how well your concept fits the vibe - not on who applied first.
If you already applied for Artists' Alley - you can switch to the Night Market through an interview with the coordinator.
By applying, you agree to WinterCon’s Night Market and general rules.
We may also feature your name, logo, photos of your work, and links on our website and socials to help visitors discover you.
Handmade, original products that match WinterCon’s theme (anime, comics, gaming, geek culture).
You should have enough items to keep your table filled during the event.
Your table must feature your own creations, directly related to you as a creator.
Goods can be displayed on the table or nearby, as long as they don’t disturb other artists.
No food, no items with strong smells, smearing, or anything dangerous or harmful.
No open flames or heating devices (lit candles, stoves, etc.)
Mature (18+) content must be hidden or properly covered (blurred, masked, etc.)
Reselling mass-produced items from online shops is not allowed.
No traced art or AI-generated work.
Each artist may bring 1 assistant.
IDs may be checked at the entrance, so artists and assistants should have them ready.
One full-size table can host up to 2 artists.
The Night Market features a limited setup - only 6 to 14 tables in total.
Tables are assigned in advance by WinterCon administration. If you have location preferences, let us know in advance. Once assigned, tables cannot be changed.
You may decorate your table, but avoid disturbing neighbors and visitors - no loud music or intrusive bright lights are allowed.
Tickets: All approved artists and their assistants don’t need to purchase a ticket - your access to the event is included.
Sales fee: 10% of your total sales during the event.
You’ll receive a special envelope for the fee at the entrance - sign it, seal it, and return it to the Night Market organizer at the info stand on the second day before leaving (on the two-day events). If you prefer bank transfer, let us know in advance and we’ll send you an invoice.
Setup: Friday, January 9th 2026 (17:00–20:00) and Saturday, January 10th 2026 (8:30-11:00).
Arrival: On event days, arrive at least 60 minutes before opening. A photo of your table will be taken at this time. If you’re running late, please notify the Night Market organizer immediately.
Event hours: Saturday and Sunday (11:00-18:00).
Artists must be present during event hours. Leaving early is only allowed for good reasons, and you must notify the organizer personally or via mobile phone (only messages).
Tables must never be left unattended - if you step away, make sure an assistant is there.
Please note: Artists are responsible for their own lighting. The Night Market area does not include event-provided lights - so that each participant can light and decorate their space in their own style.
Artists and assistants are fully responsible for their goods and table. WinterCon staff does not take responsibility for your belongings.
Stock reports may be required before and after the event (initial and remaining goods). Failure to provide these reports may result in cancellation of your registration or a ban from future events.
The WinterCon team reserves the right to ask any participant to leave the event without a ticket refund if they:
Break the event or Night Market rules.
Break the laws of The Republic of Latvia.
Are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or carry such substances.
Show disrespectful or harmful behavior towards others.
Damage furniture, equipment, decorations, or venue property.
Disobey WinterCon administration.
Arrive late (or fail to show up) without informing the Night Market organizer.
Participants may be banned from further participation in Night Market, Cosplay, K-pop, or other UniCon and WinterCon events for a duration, at the administration’s discretion.
The administration reserves the right to remove any participant at any time, without prior notice or explanation.
Night Market isn’t just a space - it’s a vibe. Low lights, glowing merch, curious visitors - and your table right at the center of it all.
With only 6 to 14 tables available, each one matters. If you’ve got the vision, we’ve got the space.
