Full body contest

Why: Show off your anatomy skills by drawing a full body of a person, regardless of whether you are a beginner or already a pro at this.

How: You will have 1 hour to draw the full body of a model that the Art Staff has selected. The main goal is to make it as close to the model as possible. Stylization is allowed. Drawing must be handed in on 1 piece of paper.

With what: Any traditional art supplies are acceptable (will be provided on the spot or you can use your own). A4 or A3 format (paper will be provided).

When: Please check the Art Zone contest timetable (available online and in the WinterCon 2024 booklet) and choose a suitable time for yourself.

Important: Please write your name/nickname and contact information (phone number, Instagram @, Twitter @, etc.) on the back of your drawing, so we can contact you in case you win the contest, but are unable to receive the prize during the Ending Ceremony.

Limited colours contest

Why: This contest is a great way to demonstrate your drawing skills with a limited range of colours.

How: You need to choose 3 pencils or markers, but no more! Graphite pencils as an extra colour are acceptable only for sketching. There is no set theme, draw what your heart desires. Select and use your colours wisely, as you need to play with contrasts - outlines, shading, and highlights - to make your piece stand out!

30 seconds - 3 minutes - 30 minutes contest

Why: This contest is a great way to demonstrate your drawing skills in a limited amount of time.

How: You need to come up with a human version, also known as a Gijinka, of a fruit or berry! How do you think an exotic fruit might look as a human? Or what a local berry might look like? Once you come up with a concept, you will need to draw this character 3 times in the allotted time: in 30 seconds, in 3 minutes, in 30 minutes. Most important part: the pose, clothing, background, etc. should remain the same each time. The drawings need to be handed in together either on 1 piece of paper or on Max 3 pieces.
