About UniCon
What is UniCon?

UniCon is Latvia’s very own Comic Con - a festival for everything geeky: cosplay, anime, gaming, comics, eSports, tabletop RPGs, and more. It’s all about celebrating pop culture with thousands of fans.

What do you do?

We bring people together through shared passions - from our two big annual festivals to monthly community events that keep the energy going all year round.

How long have you been around?

Since 2013! Our journey started over a decade ago, and we’ve been growing with our amazing community ever since.

Tickets
Where can I get tickets?

Tickets are available online via Bilesu Serviss and at the entrance during the event days.

How much do tickets cost?

- 1-day ticket (Friday): 19€
- 1-day ticket (Saturday or Sunday): 25€
- 2-day ticket (Weekend): 35€
- 3-day ticket: 45€
- Fan ticket: 75€

Prices are final - no early bird, no last-minute markup.

How does two days ticket works?

You’ll get a new wristband each day. Just keep your ticket safe and show it at the entrance again on the second day.

Is there a discount system?

Not generally - but!

- Children under 7 get in for free.
- Cosplay, K-pop dance, and Artists’ Alley participants can get a discounted ticket after registration confirmation.

Do tournament or contest participants get free entry?

No free entry - but:
Cosplay, K-pop, and Artists’ Alley participants get discounts. Other contests (like gaming or art) require a regular ticket.

Planning Your Visit
How long does the event last?

- Friday: 14:00–20:00
- Saturday & Sunday: 12:00–20:00
- Fan Ticket holders get early access every day -
Friday from 13:00, Saturday & Sunday from 11:00!

What can I see and do?

Tons! Check out the Program and Participate pages for all activities, contests, shows, and more. Also, a printed map and schedule will be available at the entrance - don’t forget to grab one!

Do I need to wear a costume?

Nope! Cosplay is 100% optional. Wear what you like, join the fun how you want.

What if I don't have any friends to go with. Can I come alone?

Absolutely! UniCon is one of the biggest fan events in the Baltics, bringing together people from Latvia and beyond. It’s the perfect place to meet others who love the same things you do - friendships often start here!

Is there an age limit?

Nope! UniCon is for all ages. And kids under 7 come in free!

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes, you can! Plus, we’ve got food vendors on-site, a diner area, and Olympia Mall just 10 minutes away. Free drinking water is also available.

Will there be alcohol?

Not from our exhibitors. The venue catering may offer it, but please drink responsibly - any inappropriate behavior means you’ll be asked to leave.

What languages are used on the panels and workshops?

Most panels are in English, but you’ll find some in Latvian or Russian. Look for language flags in the printed and online schedule.

Can I go to UniCon with my small dog?

Unfortunately, venue policy does not allow pets (except service animals).

Cosplay
What type of cosplayers are coming?

All kinds! From anime heroes and game icons to movie characters and original designs - UniCon is full of creativity and fandom fun.

Can anyone participate in Cosplay Contest with their costumes?

Yes! Just sign up in advance - but keep in mind that stage spots are limited. Want to join? Check out the Participate page (Cosplay Rules) for all the details.

I’ve never been on stage before. Can I still take part?

Totally! We love seeing newcomers. You can find everything you need to know on the Participate page (Cosplay Rules).

Can I wear cosplay without joining the contest?

Of course! Dressing up just for fun is 100% welcome.

Can I dress in cosplay at the event and leave my clothes somewhere?

There are shared changing rooms you can use, but please note that in summer we don’t have lockers or a cloakroom available.

Money & Payments
Will vendors take debit/credit cards?

Some vendors accept cards, but not all. To be safe (and grab that cool stuff you spot), we recommend bringing some cash.

Is there an ATM nearby?

Yes! There’s a Swedbank ATM right at the venue entrance, and more ATMs inside the Olympia mall just 10 minutes away.

How much cash should I bring?

That’s up to you - but with so much awesome merch, art, and snacks around, it’s easy to find something worth spending on.

Media & Safety
Can I take photos or film videos?

Yes! Just remember to be respectful - always ask before filming or photographing other visitors and respect their wishes if they decline.

Will I be on camera?

Most likely! UniCon is covered by press, bloggers, and photographers. By attending, you agree that your photo may appear on our website, social media, or media publications.

What if I am harassed?

Harassment of any kind is not welcome at UniCon. If you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, come straight to the Info Desk. We’re here to help and make sure UniCon stays fun, respectful, and safe for everyone.

Business & Volunteering
I represent a business. How can we work together?

We’d love to connect! Reach out to us at office@unicon.lv for all partnership and collaboration inquiries.

How do I join the UniCon team?

We hold recruitment meetups twice a year. Follow us on social media to catch the announcements! (Just note: attending a meetup doesn’t guarantee a staff spot - but it’s the first step.)
