Tournament format and main rules:

  • 1 v 1

  • Maximum amount of players – 32

  • Region: Europe

  • No level limit

  • Full LAN

  • Single Elimination

  • Best of 1

  • Maps: Black Forest, Castillo, Ecopoint: Antarctica, Necropolis 

  • Game Mode: Elemintation

  • Participation fee: each player should have a valid UniCon 2018 ticket

Rules: 

  • By entering Overwatch 1v1 at UniCon 2018 you agree that you've read and accepted the rules.

  • We reserve the right to change, modify, or adapt all rules as deemed appropriate by UniCon eSports and UniCon administration. 

  • All disputing moments and other incidents that are not mentioned in rules are resolved by UniCon eSports and UniCon administration. Resolution is final and cannot be escalated.

  • Players with offensive nicknames or avatars are not allowed to participate in Overwatch 1v1 at UniCon 2018.

Schedule:

  • Registration is open at UniCon 2018 on 4.08.2018 from 12:00 till 14:00 

  • Overwatch 1v1 at UniCon 2018 starts on 4.08.2018 at 14:00 and continues on 5.08.2018

  • Time can be set earlear by administration announcement. 

Registration:

  • Registration is arranged by eSports zone (34 on the plan).

Preparation:

  • Games will be held on provided laptops.

  • Players cannot use their own computers.

  • Players can use their own computer peripherals (if they don't have them - organisators will provide).

  • Tournament organizers are not responsible if player’s own peripherals stop working or malfunction.

  • If players cannot come to agreement, UniCon eSports admins must be involved to solve the problem.

  • If one of playing parties won't show up on match time or will have insufficient amount of players, team will be disqualified.

  • All players are responsible for the hardware and software they are given during the tournament.

Scoring:

  • Matches will be held on elemination (arena) mode maps.

  • The first Player to score 5 points wins the match and proceeds forward in the brackets.

Game settings:

  • Custom Game Settings:

  • Map Rotation: Single Map

  • Disable kill cam: On

  • All other settings as default

  • No heroes limitation

  • High Bandwidth: On. In case of bugs and game kicking players out should be Off

  • Draft tool settings: Starting team = Random

  • Map selection for the series for games in the before finals is to be done by a map draft on http://owdraft.com 

Ingame problems and disqualifications:

  • If a player for some reason cannot continue the game, the game may be restarted, provided that the issue happened before the one minute mark. Teams must announce when they have a disconnect before those times and the game can be brought back to the lobby. After the time is up or a point has been reached games cannot be brought back to a lobby.

  • First usage of known exploits or bugs will result in a forfeit of tournament.

  • Admins will reserve the right to disqualify a team based on their behaviour at their sole discretion if something noteworthy is brought to their attention.

Spectating and streaming:

  • All spectators and non-affiliated streams are prohibited (that means subs AND coaches/managers).

  • Any sanctioned spectators such as tournament admins and/or affiliated streamers may not be rejected by the teams.

Prize pool:

  • Prize distribution goes as following:

  • III place – 100€

  • II place – 150€

  • I place – 250€

  • Prize money will be transferred within one month after the LAN Final.
