We are so excited to announce that J-Pop music artist MION will be returning to Latvia and appearing at UniCon 2026!

MION is an award-winning Japanese singer-songwriter from Nagoya, Aichi, who has ranked #1 on the Oricon Singles Charts with her hit single 'Summer Magic'.

When she was 16, she won the Outstanding Performance Award at YAMAHA's Music Revolution competition, which helped launch her professional career.

Having been active in Japan as a singer-songwriter for over ten years, MION has released 11 solo singles and has vast experience as a live performer. In her home country, she has performed at numerous music festivals, concerts and has held four national tours. She has also built up a strong international following, having performed in over 20 countries worldwide.

In 2022, MION obtained a Global Talent Visa from the UK Home Office after receiving an endorsement from Arts Council England.

MION was recently featured on the German-French TV channel Arte in an episode of Twist exploring how and why cute 'kawaii' culture is becoming more popular in Europe.

For her performance at UniCon, she will perform a mixture of her original music (J-Pop, J-Rock & idol) and covers of famous anime songs.
